on my 06! Memphis Shades Fats Model 17" height, Solar Tint. Haven't ridden with it yet as it's been raining since we returned from Lake Placid. Will let ya'll know how it works! It's supposed to stop raining on Tuedsay night, so hope to ride on Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Thank you! I know it's a simple mod that has been posted often...but I haven't posted any pics of my bike til until now. It's fairly boring to look at as compared to most everyone elses bikes here. More mods down the road...

I'm luggage rack & windshied person. Windshields lets me ride in late fall/early spring. (I limit it to 50 deg F at commute time) and the luggage rack is handy for picking up stuff.
S40NewYork,
Let us know if the windshield cuts your MPG. I put mine on two days after I got the bike running. I've been told it's why I haven't cracked the "half dollar" in MPG.

NICE!
Same model/year and colour bike as mine, so I have nothing but good things to say!
Where did you get or what is the seat cover pad?

I have a Suzuki wind shield on my 06 S40 and it didn't bother my MPG at all, still gets 57-59 MPG on the highway (65-70 MPH).

Personally, I think that a windshield decreases your wind resistance - unless you normally ride laying down on the tank.

I would guess Savage Rob is correct about there being less wind resistance. Probably not real significant with just a wind screen, but less.

Promise to report any MPG change. Given this shield is the Fats model, it is wider than the Suzuki OEM shield and/or the Memphis Slim. At 22 inches across, I suspect it may effect mileage slightly.
Skat - that's a Brooklyn Butt Buffer on my seat.
I bought it at a rally after a demo. They put a bunch of nails, screws, pieces of metal on top of a bike seat, put the buffer on top of all that junk and had you sit on it. Honest to god, no kiddin, not one poke in the butt from any of that stuff, simply amazing! The material they use won't leak or freeze. I paid about $54 for the 12 inch size. Online it's a little pricey at $72.00 but worth it!
