I think bar-ends are cool!  Those are beauties!  Not sure how easy they will be to mount  on 1" bars, but I'm sure you can figure out some way.  Try a search for "emgo" bar-ends, I think I saw them new for like, $25 a while ago. Maybe not as nice though, I think they were black, and again made for 7/8" bars.
I really wanted them, but I have to park my bike in the back yard, and get through a chain link fence gate with about 1" clearance side to side.... cut to me sprawled against the gas grill...

If you have the stock drag bar, there are steel plugs in the end of the handlebars to help absorb vibration.  For just about all bar end mirrors I've seen they require insertion into the bar end for mounting.  But you can't do that with the stock drag bars because of the steel plugs.  Today I put my stock drag bar back on.  But I wanted to keep the bar end mirror setup.  I conquered the steel plug issue and made the bar end mirror mounting more secure all in one simple mod.  I drilled the tapped a 5/16" screw hole into the steel plugs.  I tossed the bar end expanding flange thingys and ran bolts with a steel washer and a rubber washer through the mirror mounts and into the new tapped screw threads.  Those puppies are on there really good now!

BTW, my mirrors are of the 7/8" handlebar variety and look like these:

They were about $10 a pair plus about $10 shipping on ebay.  They are pretty darn solid, well designed and the paint is nice.

Kuryaken ISO grips, if I recall correctly cause I put them on a different bike that I sold last fall, have a closed end.  You'll need open end grips for bar end mirrors.  You could mod the ISO grips to use bar end mirrors though.

There's few things sweeter than riding a bike with no big chunky mirrors blocking your forward view.  It feels so much more open when riding.  Plus the bar end mirrors, at least the ones I'm using, give such a good view.  There's no vibration in them.  I noticed that not only can I tell that there are cars behind me but I can tell what model car when they are as far as maybe 4 car lengths back.  I think they have less vibration because they don't have a long stem.

I have ridden with bar end mirrors, but I really only like them on a sport bike with a forward leaning position, where your head is down closer to the bars.  For city riding, I prefer the erect position taught in the MSF riding classes, and I want to be able to look at my mirrors while still seeing what is in front of me.  If anything, I prefer long stalks on the mirrors that get them up close to shoulder height.  I find the stock mirrors too low.

somehow reminds me of the fright-face shot in Beetlejuice......

Diamond, what's the brand name, or do you remember the e-bay store you got them from?....and was there no problem with them being for 7/8" bars?...

I got a question in to the seller.
But he states it fits the bikes in the title.
There's a good chance harley and chopper mean 1" bars.
Also take note, he says they'll direct clamp to the end of the bars.
What our friend said was drill and tap the plug and screw it down from the outside.  no expansion plug.

besides, all you need to convert 7/8 to 1" is a split sleeve.

cut the appropriate length of tube that will slip on the expansion plug and into the handle bar.  And cut thru the length on one side.
