leave the valve in place and move the tank back, rear to the left and then up and off, just leave it on the run position. It is nice if you don't have much fuel in tank when you start this process as it makes it lighter and easier to handle. Also it is really nice to have a second pair of hands to either hold the tank while you carefully, but forcefully, pull apart the wire connector for the dash lights. Watch the routeing beforehand on the speedo cable. Max
I have to get the gas out, cause I just filled her up to the max yesterday. I had it on reserve cause the tank was almost empty, but it ran so sh1tty that I filled her up. Won't the gas come pouring out when I remove the fuel hose? That's why I wanted to put it on OFF first so I could hold a pan underneath to catch the gas. I can have my son help with removing the cable.
