Hi all. My name is Ryan and I recently accompanied my girlfriend to Taos NM. She's a travel nurse with a short bus converted into an RV, and we're both from the east coast. I usually teach pottery classes in MD and VA, but due to the corona virus, I won't be doing that for at least a little while longer.

Once we got here, we split the cost of a Suzuki TU250X for her to commute to work on so that she wouldn't need to drive the bus back and forth. It's been about 10 years since I've owned a bike (my first was an 88 Honda VTR250 which required more wrenching than riding). Of course, after having the TU250X for a little over 3 weeks, we've been fighting over who gets it for the day lol.

I'm thinking that I would like an inexpensive and reliable bike to take back to the east coast, and I think the S40 fits the bill.

The forum here has already been immensely helpful, and I've been reading for hours. I have a whole bunch of questions, which I am about to go over and ask in a more appropriate section of the forum, but I figured I would say hello here first.

If anyone has an S40 with an upgraded cam tensioner and petcock for sale within 3 hours of Taos, NM (hopefully for around $2000) please let me know!

Hey all! Mechild here, 27 y/o with two Suzuki savage bikes, 1995 and 2005, both surprisingly close to 12k miles. I started riding on the street last year after growing up on the trails with smaller bikes/quads. Anyways, I am here for knowledge and discussion! and pics of course. I should do a rebuild thread but I'm not good at explaining myself on things.
