Hi all, I just got directions to this great looking forum by FALSE ILLUSION.  (thanks)

-Saw my add on Craigslist looking for some highway pegs that would fit the '87 LS650 I just purchased.

I got the Savage today:
-My first motorcycle
-$800
-WORTH EVERY PENNY

I plan on posting photos and replying to other forum topics in the near future.  As this i my first bike I can only imagine I'll have a wealth of questions and then pass information on as I continue to grow experienced with what seems to be a wonderfully simple and capable motorcycle.

Ride Safe,

Hey There False Illusion,

-Fresh out of college and I just commissioned and work on base in the evenings but would really be up for a ride sometime.   I bet a couple of Thumpers would sound great together.  Know anyone else in the Dayton area by chance?

Thanks for the introduction.  Would love to see your S40 sometime.

Best,
Calvin

Anytime, my friend!
PM me or email when you would like to get together.
Saturdays are my best time as I work three jobs Sunday through Friday.

As for other Thumper Pilots, I've only ran into one in the area. I asked him if he was a member of this forum and he said he was a long time ago. His screen name was HumbleFritz if I remember correctly..nice guy....I did a check and couldn't find him.

Anyway, just get a hold of me...maybe we'll do the Covered Bridges of Greene County...GREAT run if you like cool scenery and historical type stuff.

Ride safe, my friend!

Hi - my name is Jane and I live up on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. My 2001 Savage is being delivered tomorrow and I am starting to get nervous.
I haven't ridden for many years and never in the States!!! All my previous was done in the UK.
I am distinctly on the short side, so I hope that I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!!!!! Undecided

Hi Jane and welcome. The Savage is perfect for us vertically challanged.
Go slow and easy. I'm sure once you get on the bike it will all come back. It did for me.It took about a month after I got my bike to start feeling I could go places w/o being nervous. Actually it was an adventure, and still is!!!!
I thing there's a member or 2 in your neighbourhood.
Ride safe and enjoy the moment.

This is a super site.  I have found lots of useful information for My little Suzi.  Shes a pearl.   I only got her this season and have put on 3200 kil already.   Next year I'll have to do the head gasket get a new windshield , bag supports and something for my numb fingers.

From Ontario Canada.  thanks Rob for the site.
