Gort, I was in the USAF during Woodstock. I was flying the dead home from Vietnam to the military east coast mortuary at Dover AFB Delaware, or to the west coast mortuary at Travis AFB California near San Francisco.

We had three to five days of crew-reast between south-east Asia runs, and I would drive to see my girlfriend at Purdue University between flights.

It was a strange juxtaposition of roles as she was into the anti-war movement, and so was I as I joined her in these events between flights.

Come the next SEA flight I was 100% military USAF and proud to be so.

After eight years of Vietnam I was fed up and sickened by the folly of war. I have been a pacifist, a liberal, and even a vegetarian since.

I had no idea. My apologies for teasing you. When I saw your pic with the 60's hair style and the Simon and Garfunkel shirt, it brought back old memories of a better time... at least in so far as the peace movement was concerned. You look much younger than you are.

Candid shots.. really should do a "posed" one someday.

Marble Falls/Lake Travis run with the ACMR group. "Thumper" had the lead, 18 bikes.

Lunch time on the ride. Proudly sporting my "Dragon's Tail" shirt, on the day it was done by the Fab Four. We did find a nice peg scraping road by Lake Travis, but no where near like Dragon's Tail I'm sure!
Guys to my left are wearing ACMR shirts.

LoL...it will happen soon! My life has been really complicated lately.
And....I have another surgery this morning (my 5th in 8 weeks) Sad

My friend with the happy camera trigger finger is going with me again.

Our plan was to take a pic of me on her husbands MC,same color as mine Wink

But...her husband had a wreck on his Brand new MC a few days ago....and he's going into surgery right after me Sad

Hey,I also live in the boonies ,jobs dont pay much here,not everyone here has or can afford a digital camera ....we're lucky to have a gun to keep the bear and the thieves away Wink

(I am extra lucky though,I have 2 guns Wink

But,no camera yet.The last one I had got stolen!

(Surgerys)But the good news is....after the surgerys tomorrow we're going to go pick up our pain meds from the pharmacy,some great to go food and go watch rental comedy's/DVD's on the big TV in twin lounge chairs.....we'll be so goofy we wont care,at least for awhile....LOL.

He had a girl actually moving over lanes on a expressway(went over 3 lanes)came into his lane and hit him....knocked him off his bike,going 60-65mph.
He had 4 witnesses(one a MC rider(stranger) riding behind him) and even a Doctor to stop and help him!!!

He's going to be okay though and has plenty of witnesses...YES!!
He was lucky....only a broken foot,very bad road rash,broken ribs,and sore shoulder. He's making plans for his next bike Wink

(His beautiful new bike was totalled)
