That jacket is a joe rocket phoenix 4.0 which is awesome. Keeps me real cool because it's mesh and I got it for $80 brand new.

Nope, it was his idea. He's wants to keep his good tenants. And he knew $45 a month was stretching it for me since I quit the second job. Right now they are trying to figure out why the downstairs apartment isn't getting any signal. I think the router is going to have to move.

Of course old plaster and lathe walls can sometimes be difficult.

He's a good guy and we have a nice bunch of people right now in the building. It's more than I can afford but I have a garage and laundry facilities and people who will look after my animals if i have to go away.

And free internet.

Reply #567 - 07/27/08 at 05:44:44 I hacked my Linksys Wireless router and now can send signal 1/4 of a mile away....but I wouldn't say it is for everyone...makes the router geta bit warm. We had problems here at the house...so now Wifey and daughter can take their laptops out to the pool if need be.

His router is supposed to go 1000 ft but it's on the top floor - 3rd - and the building was built in the 20s so solid as a rock. He's going to bring ti down to the second floor and see if it works better.

Laptops by the pool - how decadent! Wink

We have a koi pond that has a leak in the liner and there are no longer any koi since the Cooper's Hawk found it made a good snack bar. Roll Eyes

A Wi Fi Repeater placed halfway should do the trick.
