Hi from Alabama. I just bought a '05 S40 about 2 weeks ago. Love it. I have been around bikes for several years but just learned how to ride this past May. I started out on a 250 Nighthawk. BF found this forum and have been reading the posts and have learned lots.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself since you guys have been helping me with some repairs.  So my name is Clay! I am from Anderson, SC. I just got my first Savage about a month and half ago. I am really lovin her. My previous bike was a 75 Harley ShovelHead that needed some rod and bearing work that was gonna cost about $2000 so I picked up the Savage and started bobbing her out! She is gonna be super sweet when finished! The best part is that there isnt one anything like it in my area! so of course I get lots of looks! I posted a pic in bike pics under Rubber Side Down but I will have better ones coming soon! Thanks to all that do this site! It's is a great resource!

Hi All, I brought a 1998 Savage a couple of months ago. Fantastic MC. Next step is to replace the tensioner with  Verslagen1 modified one before any problems arise.
Anyway just saying Hi from under under (New Zealand).

More of a reintroduction:

I changed my name from Robertomoe to Bobbert in honor of my newly christened machine, and it just sounds better.

Hello there fellow owners.

Great forum you all have here and very informative.

My names Rod im from Scotland but stay in Cyprus. I just bought a 92 Savage(but im guessing its probably older model) but only got it the day before i had to come back to Africa for work and im going to have to wait 5 weeks before i can enjoy it again Shocked

Theres a few things that need tidying up so looking forward to getting my hands dirty doing that.

I am 62 years old and retired. (Thank God that I no longer have to worry about unemployment.)  I have been very happily married to the same woman for 42 years.  On the other hand, I have owned about 30 different motorcycles over the years. I guess that my roving eye is attracted to things with two wheels.

I am currently riding an 03 Savage.  It replaced my H-D Sportster. I am extremely drawn to the simplicity, and the wonderfully pleasant handling of the machine.  It also doesn't hurt that it is a wonderful fit for my vertically challenged frame.

I live in Tucson, Az, which means that I actually get to ride 12 months of the year. How cool is that?

Finally here is a pic of me on my bike fresh out of the crate! Sorry my cell phone was all I had at the time. Did some mods since then too.

Hi,

My name is Jerry Hughes and I live in Tucson, Az.  I am retired, but just from work, not from riding.  I got my first motorcycle license in 1960, and I have been riding continually ever since.  I figure that I have logged about a half million miles over the years, and I have enjoyed every one of them, even the ones that were miserable.

I am in love with the Savage.  After riding almost everything made for the street, I have arrived at what I feel is essential motorcycle.  Not to mention that it is a pure pleasure to ride and oh so easy on my old bones.

I have been lurking around the board for a while, mostly not logged in, but I have to say, that I really have enjoyed this interesting group of people, and all of the good advice, help, and support that is to be found here.
