I just realized I probably should have made my first post here but I made a post in the cafe section earlier explaining how I became a savage owner with some pics of my bike. This forum has helped so much thank you to everyone.

so I traded an 89 bronco for a 99 savage at the end of last summer. I rode it for about two weeks before I put it up for winter. Last week I decided to take it to my work and fix head cap leak and modify cam chain tensioner.  while I was at it I did some cosmetic work as well. this was a one week project with pretty much no money so nothing to fancy. I'm gonna try to add some before and after pics. tell me what you think so far it's still got some work to be done.

Hi, I purchased this 2012 S40 leftover about a month and a half ago. I rode it home (75mi.) stripped it, bobbed it, jetted, k&n'ed, and dyna mufflered the bike over the course of the next month. I have since flipped the bar risers and rode about 500 miles. So far I enjoy I can interchange oilfilters with my dr650 and now have a nice tight cruiser.

So far I love this bike.

Next up is chain drive..

Traded my zuma 50f in for the boulevard s40

Stripped.. Guard mount tabs gridded and painted

rusted and refined

nice.  Cheesy

moar

Just found this thread (still a NOOB).

My wife and I live in Blount County Tennessee near the Dragon. She is the new S40 owner, I'm her personal mechanic and riding coach.

Hello all,
I'm Sigi, turning 40 this year and after riding enduros for almost 20 years I became a 1992 Savage rider in may 2013.
Although she was slightely cutomized already, I decided to alter the position of the driver seat and make her a solo bike, because I'm quite tall (maybe too tall for this bike). But I really love riding her, so there was work to do.
The special callenge here was to have it all german street legal in the end.

Have a great time, everyone!
