I'm at Los Angeles!

The "Fishnchips" inspiration was from an early arnold schwarzenegger movie where they were smuggling IC chips  Grin

Hi Newby here !
Just a quick intro, been into bikes for over 35 years, currently own a Harley Deuce 1450, and have just picked up a Savage Ryca style Cafe Racer, although I think the Ace bars are going to have to go, as I prefer the Grass tracker look , and my wrists agree !  Looking forward to joining in on the forum.

I am in the U.K ( Yorkshire )

Ian

Here is the bike I picked up on Sunday, needs some tweaks.

Welcome! Looks nice! Just like Lancer's "other" Suzuki. Wish you had been on earlier this year, we went up to North Carolina and about in your area for a get together. Here is a pic of some of the gang that showed up....

Look in on the "Dragon Run 2014" post to get an idea of when and where we will meet next year.

Hey MMRanch, you got a deal.

You know the great thing about getting back on a motorcycle and out of a car, is it does not take much of an excuse for a weekend ride. Especially at 50+ MPG, and acceleration that just rocks.

SWEET,
does everybody name their motorcycle, or am I just weird?

By the the way Her name is:

Wait for it,
Wait for it,

SWEETe Pie

Thanks all for a warm welcome, count me in next year, although that downpour didn't look fun.
But spent 24 hours riding from Houston one time in mostly rain, not fun at all.

Hello fellow enthusiasts,
I'm fairly new to the open road as I've been riding my '09 Kawasaki KLX250S mostly on the back roads and trails. I finally convinced my wife to let me purchase a project bike, 1988 Savage LS650. Only 14000 km, but I have a hunch that the carb soon needs cleaning. I'm new to repairs so I bought a Clymer manual.

I'll be taking on the cafe conversion that resembles the Ryca CS-1,however, since I reside in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada, I'll be ordering minimal parts from Ryca as the duty fees and taxes are substantial. Please correct me if I'm wrong. For the time being, I'll be swapping the bars for a set of custom drag bars from a buddy in a fab shop, only until make the commitment to strip it down and start the paint process from square one.

I will be swapping the tank with a '75 GT550, one person had noted within this forum. Hopefully I can get by on salvaging used parts found at local motorcycle yards. I'm up for the challenge and learning experience! That's why I'm here....I've been reading a lot of posts and love the support that you all have to offer. I'm soooo looking forward to this experience. Thank you for having me!

Welcome Café! Loads of info here on ryca conversions, bobber conversions ect....

Don't most of the folks that order parts hit the southern side of the boarder and rent a ups mail box or something to keep from paying all those crazy fees?
