Hi I'm BJ and with my wife Jo, we just picked up a 2009 S40 with only 317 miles! Jo has owned 2 other LS650 Savages over the years a 1986 and 1996.  At this time we are "sharing" the S40, although we will ride it "2 up" now and then. Have a most excellent day, BTW, we live in Colorado Springs, CO.

Hi all! I just bought an 03 LS650 about a week ago for my first "real bike." It is currently sitting in the shop at work so one of the mechanics around here can help me get some initial stuff done like an oil leak repair. I have already found some great resources from browsing through the forums here and look forward to asking for actual advice in the near future.

Hello all my names Louie. I'm from the uk and I've had my 86 savage since December last year. Love riding it, however, in January on my first long trip the engine made a clunking noise and cut out. I'm due to open her up in the next month or so, once my workshop is built, to see if I can see the problem. Hoping I can fix her and welcome any advice from anyone willing to part with it. Ill add a picture of her on here with my son astride.

Hi all  i just bought a s40 a few days ago as a second bike to tinker with. Its a 2006 with 12,00 miles runs good but needs a little work. I gave $1,200 for it and figure its worth putting a little money into it. I have already started to get a few parts for it and look foward to learning more about the bike on here.

Could you do us a favor and post a thread in the cafe telling us more about the program? Things like how you picked the LS650 as your ride for the show and maybe a link to program information.

Thanks!

Hello Savage and S40 lovers. I have been riding a long time. Got old and wanted a lighter bike so got an S40. I think I am going to like it.

This seems like a good place to hang out. Smiley

Hey all,
I have been lurking for a few weeks and finally took the time to register. I just picked up an '87 savage that was parked and not running a t least 10 years. Checked the basic things cleaned the carb and it runs like a champ. 33k miles checked the tensioner and it's at 18mm. Going to ride it to the meet this weekend and then start upgrading it. Chain conversion, tensioner mod, make it reliable for the season and probably do a motor overhaul this winter to bigger/high comp piston, cam and goodies but since im also buying a house we will see how that goes.

Here is my woman w/ her new S40.   I just rode it home (110 miles) on Tuesday.  The S40 only has 3,200 miles on it.  This will be the first bike she has on the road.  We just sold her 2000 GZ 250 a few weeks ago.   She only has parking lot experience.  She has her temp pass and will be taking the MSF in June.  Her S40 matches my red 2006 S83.   Now we are just waiting for better weather here in Michigan.
