Is that the stock battery box tilted backwards? I don't think I've seen one that was tilted back that wasn't secured with a belt.

Mind posting a close up of how it is done? I'm getting scared of my mini-battery's ability to start a big single in cold weather Undecided

As for starting in the cold well it was -8 celcius here this morning and it started up just fine lol.

Hello gentlemen! I have also been lurking here for a while, and because of this board, decided to upgrade from my little Honda Rebel to the Savage. I'm in the Columbus, Ohio area waiting for spring to get here.

I made the right decision - I love this bike.

Looking forward to meeting and discussing with you all.

Hello everyone, I am also a new Suzuki Savage owner. After the kids were grown and gone I thought why not. I'm not a big guy and I find that the S-40 fits me perfectly. Can't wait for spring and perhaps a group ride with some of you other members.

Love the site, tons of great information and comradery to be accessed here. Thanks for allowing me to become a member of your group.

Glad I found this forum, helped me and I was only a guest! Just bought a 03 Savage with 5500 miles. Very hard starting in the morning and stalled at lights. Stock fuel petcock was bad, vacuum leak at inlet, rubbed all the way through on cooling fin. Something to watch for! Installed raptor 660 petcock and bike runs great! Thanks to all of you guys!
