Just checking in from eastern Upstate NY.  New owner of a '04 Savage which looks like it's going to need a bit of TLC to get it where I want it.  Back to riding after a 25 year absence, but doing it right this time: took the course and actually have a motorcycle license!  I've been lurking in the technical info which has already saved my bacon at least once, and will be asking a bunch of questions about the bike as time goes by.

Hi there people!

My name is Frederick (or Fred). I am from The Netherlands, but I thought I would join this "overseas" forum so that I could gather some more knowledge about my bike. I say "my bike", but in reality I don't even own it yet.

As of tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a Suzuki Savage LS650 ('96).

My plans are to turn it into a bobber/chopper - I shall add a link to my upcoming project page in a while (I thought it would be decent to introduce myself first).

Anyhow, I hope to share many thoughts and ideas with the rest of you!

Regards,
Fred

I just now realized that I wasn't supposed to ask questions in this topic (as it says per title). Sorry, please don't ban me!!!

No problem.  The title means questions like "what oil should I use", and such.   (By the way, unless you want to start a war, don't ask that question AT ALL)    Cool

Hi I'm Paul, 45 yrs old, and I live in New Zealand (for 12 years, a POM really). Just joined mostly for the tech stuff really. I have had an 04 S40 for a couple of months, this is my first cruiser style bike (others have been sports or sports tourers) and so far so good, apart from the backfires of which I now know more so thanks for that!!! It's an easy bike to ride I have to say nice and low and easy to get on and off even with my smashed back  Grin,

Greetings! Added a '08 S40 to the stable a few weeks ago. Put about 200 miles on it this holiday weekend! I've been riding a Vespa GT200 for about a year. So far, so good!

I am the new owner of an 86 Savage that I will be tinkering with. I'm located in the Mid Ohio Valley. I'm sure that I'll have several questions in the near future!  Grin
