Hi, my name is Jonna and my husband got me my 09 s40 brand new last August. Since then I have put 5200 fun filled miles on it. The only mods done to it is jetting the carb with a Dyna jet,Supertrapp pipe,K&N filter, Superbrace fork brace and Riverroad saddlebags. Now it's perfect for me! Cool

Welcome new guys and gals.  Glad to have you on board.

We love pictures, so post away!

And J2, we have some wordy ones around here too, so write as much as you like!  Just keep in mind that we also have some that can't read.  LOL   Wink

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try to get some pics up later.Kimchris1
I believe we have the same bike. They call it red but everybody (around here) says it's more of a fuschia. The color is what I initially fell in love with. As for my adventures on it,I ride with my husband and my oldest son just about every weekend weather permitting and we ride all over San Diego County here in California. The mountain rides are my favorite.

Hello All,

I'm glad I've found this site!

I have an 86 Savage I have got back in 1991 in LA with 20k on it.
Soon after I sheared off the cam (and damaged head & cover), because I didn't know about the necessary oil seal on the RH gasket...

I was able to find a wrecked one a few weeks later and put over 30k on it in SoCal traffic.

Since 1993 I'm in Portland, Oregon [orygun], and the season (for me) is much shorter here...

---

I already got the raptor petcock, a float needle and kevlar pads from the posts here, and now I looking for a chain and/or tensioner.
I read Lancer's posts in Marketplace, but I cannot PM until I post :-)

Great to see so many Savage/Boulevard enthusiasts!

Regards,
Aleš

Just found this awesome place today and joined up!  Recently (about a month ago) got my Savage.  2002 black beauty with about 9k miles.  This is the 6th bike I've owned, but first Savage.  Looks like a TON of helpful friendly Thumper enjoyers here.  I am sure I will have lots of fun in the marketplace and technical sections etc.  So just wanted to say hello all and thanks for the board!

Greetings to all from sunny So. Cal. Found this site a couple weeks ago, looks good. My wife decided in June she wanted to start riding(OK we can do this). found a nice 05 S40 on Memorial Day weekend. I picked it up the folling Tue. Rode it home thinking this is a real nice ride. Well wife decided she did not want to ride. Oh well got 3 bikes in the garage now. Really like them all, but Thumprat has become my fav. Looks like a very good site(that usually means good folks). Ride safe, far, and often---Luke

Hi all, I'm Rob from Bristol in the Uk. I haven't got a savage yet but I'm looking, just don't seem to be that many about over here! My plan is to bobberize one using the blue collar bobbers kit over the comming winter. Will keep you all posted. Cheers!

Hello all I am new here and just got a 98 savage. It is my first bike in almost 20 years. I have had it just over a week and ride it 70 miles a day to and from work. I hope to learn about mods that can be done on here. So far i love the forum and the info available Cool
