Black exhaust with chrome muffler

Has anybody done a sportster muffler with black header. My header on my savage is rusty and really bothers me. Im thinking of black wrap with chrome muffler or black paint.

Just so you know, the wrap will turn your header blue.

I've seen a few here painted black. Looked pretty good!
Try barbecue grill spray paint for a flat finish, or I bought a can of "dull gloss engine paint" at auto-zone to paint my cylinder.
Wrap can be tricky from what I've read. It can give a mean look though, if you like that.

I had mine ceramic coated satin black and used hi-temp black paint on my MAC muffler. I like the ceramic a lot.

I did the whole HD muffler and savage header in ceramic black powder coat (evidently its a liquid not a powder) and while the pitted and rusty header had the paint/powder stick to it, the shiny chrome on the HD muffler pretty much had the black crack and want to flake off. I am getting to the point where I should do it to another set, and may leave the muffler as chrome.
Cool.

Yeah, I roughed up the chrome before painting the muffler. If I get it ceramic coated, he always sandblasts prior to coating and baking.
