No Brake Light when Rear Brake applied?
07/30/07 at 03:27:01

Mornin' everyone ... recently adjusted the height of the rear brake pedal upwards a little and also the free play by turning in the adjuster nut at the rear wheel ... feels real nice now, not sloppy like before ... but when doing a pre-Ride check this morning before coming to work, I noticed that the brake light doesn't come on when the rear brake pedal is pushed (front is OK though) ... I presume this is a minor adjustment? Any pointers?
Thanks Grin

Look beneath the front of the swingarm on the right side.
There is an adjustment there.

If it helps any.. both the brake cable and the cable for the brake light switch come off the pedal at the same place.  Just trace the cable back to around the swing arm and you will see the adjustment, and the switch itself is further up the frame.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.
