My headlight visor vibrated against the ring/collar.  I put a bead of clear silicon sealant along it and it stopped.

Seems like everyone should just give their Savage a nice silicon sealant bath and it would behave much nicer!   Grin  That seems to be one of the common fixes for the speedo buzz as well...

As far as the speedo buzz goes, I took my 06 to the shop today for the buzz, and I think they may have fixed it.  My dealer did the fix free, and all he did was installed spacers between the springs and the mounting to tighten it up.  So far, no more buzz, but will have to wait a few weeks to make sure.  I forgot how quiet little Suzi was. I've been riding for a year with my headlight rattling like crazy. Finally got fed up enough that I took some 1/2 X 1 inch foam strips around the bezel and in the plastic bucket. Quiet as a mouse, but now I can hear the engine and it sounds like valve adjustment time. Jeez, I just want to ride!

Where do you put the clear sealant around the speedo to stop the buzz??
