Before I get started on my problem, I'd just want to say that this forum and everyone who contributes to it is awesome. I'm new to motorcycles this year and I sleep a lot sounder knowing there are people around the world willing to lend a hand to a rookie. Cheers to that.
So I recently rode my 2000 savage to another city (250 miles) and got stuck in a rain/hail storm. Everything went relatively well considering. I rode the bike back home in dry weather and had no problems. When I got home I parked the bike for about a week. When I went to start it yesterday I had no power whatsoever. No lights, no engine, nothing. I charged the battery overnight and I'm certain that it is full. Then I checked fuses. Since I'm a rookie I randomly started looking at wires underneath the seat. I randomly found that the "Relay 20A" fuse (under the right side of the seat) was blown. I bought some replacements and changed the fuse. The bikr started the first time and I rode it to the gas station to fill up. When I tried to start it again at the gas station it went dead. I checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown. I replaced it again but it blew before I tried starting the engine.  So I'm assuming that there is short somewhere but I don't know where to start looking. Should I take off the gas tank and look under there? The wires under the seat look like they are in pretty good shape. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time. Cheers
