I see what you mean. If the risers and bars were straight I'd be leaning over the tank.

I didn't have any weights in mine but if you did need something there are many available options. Everything from the "Bar snake" to a roll of pennies. Some have even filled the bars with BBs.

I am in the process of returning these. Maybe I just got a bad pair ?????
