I am in the process of upgrading the front turn signals with smaller chrome bullet type. I changed out the back units and removed the chrome sissy bar trim on the rear fender. I also removed the stock tail light and put on a cats eye style clear skull light with red bulb where the old plate light used to be. It cleans up the back nicely and looks so sinister.

Ok, now for the question. I am putting in the same turn signals up front, duel filament, of course and would like to use the same P clamps however the turn signal mounting bolt is too short.  Since a few of you savage nuts have been here already, how did you get aroujnd this.  I do not want to using fencing P clamps and chrome units are pricing (if that is the only choice that I have, I will go there) however is there another low cost method that looks great? I do not believe that Lowes sells hollow long bolts?  Ideas and suggestions welcome. I have to get a few pix of my savage up here, it really looks much different to most.

I saw extended hollow bolts in JP cycles paper catalogue. might try there. for me, I flipped my stock turn signal clamps on the front, around 180 degrees and it worked with the smaller bolts on my mini turn signals. here's a pic:

I used conduit hangers on the handle bars. 79 cents.

Thanks for all the input.  I went with a flat 2 hole bracket, used the stock p clamps and bolted the turn signals thru the top.  Come out great.  Post pix soon.

One last question, both running light and flasher light worked great, without the standard 3rd black/white ground wire from the stock harness.  I still connected it into the tuen signal shell body, hence all 3 wires from the stock harness from the headlight into the turn signal are connected.  I am wondering if that is alright.

The new turn signals have only 2 wires and I used rubber washers to keep the signals isolated from the the rest of the bike.
