You are starting it correctly, and the bike is doing what it should. If it is idling slowly, like yours, ease the choke back in a little. The rpm's should pickup. You may feel a "click" when the choke is about half way in. Let it idle there for a minute (to get the oil moving), then ride away. After the engine warms up, reach down and push the choke the rest of the way in.
