Those who have a jardine/ rejetted

Just curious if those who have the jardine muffler and the rejetted carb  notice a difference in gas mileage?

I am asking because I am weighing the options of taking the train into Chicago or riding my bike.  Its like 14 bucks roundtrip for a train.  Once I get my bike back I will be seeing how much gas mileage I get, but in the meantime; anybody know the gas mileage with the jardine/rejet?  Better or worse than stock?

any input is appreciated!

Thanks
Jonny

At approximately 4500 - 5000 MSL (Mean Sea Level) I have a Jardine with 152.5 Main and 55 Pilot and I get between high 50s to low 60s in MPG.

And that's with a leaky header pipe and bent choke rod. (I have really got to fix that some day soon)

Brother,

I have a Jardine, K&N Drop in Filter, Rejet main to 150, pilot stock at 50, approx 6500 feet above see level, running standard NGK plug, white spacer about half. No back firing, alot of power-will eat a stock savage, I race these all the time.

Your MPG will drop.  I get maybe 65 mpg, it was better prior to the mods but I have a much different running bike today on my 99 savage, about 4K on bike.

Be sure that you do not have a leak between the head pipe and slip on.  Pull off the heat shield and see if the back in black or has any soot.  If it does, be sure to seal it well with exhuast tape then reclamp it.

Ride forever

Richie

Forgot to add that I too have shaved the white spacer down to half and am running a K&N slip in air filter.
