Top end dilemma

Heres the problem my bike has good accleration, but the top end is crap I only can hit about 55 mph, Heres what I have done to it: Chain Conversion (fine after), pulled the clutch cover to look at the cam chain, chain stretch was ok but tensioner was out 20mm did the slavy mod put it back together and know it wont go over 55. could it be fuel problems? also there is a little hesitation at the top end. any help will be appreciated. Thanks

When I installed the plunger it was pushing against the chain tightly should i just pull it back off and take another look?

Also I did the 16/45 conv. so just a little better than stock. But better. thanks for the help. when you metioned the clutch i started checking every thing.

I'm not sure if i fixed the problem completly it is faster, I only went about 75 so far. The stumble is gone from the top end but I dont think everything is solved yet. Still checking everything
