Oh, the callipers say .1 mm = .004 inches. That would be okay to set the valves at. I dont know if having them set at .011 will make it hot, but it will mess up the valve stems.

Avoid rounding off when possible.

The conversion is 1 MM = .03937", therefore .1 MM = .0039".

At any rate, I'm guessing that the feeler gages aren't correct and they've been misread.

Conversions aside, the only thing that matters is .003-.005" and you need to have gages that say that.  End of story.
