Is there somehting I am completely unaware of here? Is there a reason why it6 MIGHT decrease torque to allow the engine to breathe better? I thought it was all WIN WIN WIN when we change the exhaust from stock to anything else. I didnt know you could go wrong,,

I run a jardine pipe and my carb is jetted for the pipe(see signature below).I'd say in the seat of the pants feel it really woke the little savage up.I'm not disappointed at all with the
new giddy up.I hated the stock muff, replaced that with a suppertrapp, that was ok but i wanted a loud pipe. The jardine
bested the trapp in looks sound and seat of the pants feel.
I'm sure there are different opinions out there, but thats why
theres more than one pipe to choose from.I'd like to hear the Rassk pipe in person because it's a one piece that would clean the look up a little.

My Hanes dyno saw huge improvement thru all RPM ranges with the Supertrapp & carb jetting mods. I would expect anything that allows the bike to breathe easier will do it. I think the Jardines are loud. I dont know, cuz Ive never heard one. I went with the Supertrapp for the tunability & because I heard it wasnt just a raucus screaming exhaust Hole, but an engineered part to maximize performance without just screaming.  If I was gonna do it all over, I would grab a HD take off & just see what performance I got. That's cheap & if you arent happy, you can do something else & not lose much $$$.

I run the same set up as the PA  KID and love the sound and the torque was improved a lot. Even with the chain conversion and a 14% reduction in gearing it hauls butt off the line, and cruises the interstate(any lane) like it belongs there. My neighbor bought the last Harley I owned and he laughed at my Savage. He took it for a ride and didn't laugh anymore, he was amazed.
