Chirping and whistling... the bike, not me.

My 1998 Suzi makes various interesting sounds. Some, I have learned, come from the speedo assembly. Some, obviously, come from the normal running of the engine. And then there is this very high pitch whistling sound which seems to be associated with engine strokes -- very rapid, non-continuous whistling which goes up and down with RPM, and never stops.

What is it?  ???

Chirping is often associated with the drive belt, particularly when it's damp/wet.

my belt chirps in the dry too - I don't worry about it/doesn't bother me. know I could help matter with belt dressing. may do it oneday but above low speed on the road combo of wind noise in my helmet & noise of my muffler drowns it out.

so though it.
