If you believe the 1986-1988 Clymer Manual I have, it says 133 teeth, but they've been wrong before! I haven't double checked by counting them.

Yes, 133 teeth.  But you can get a 135 tooth belt.  It will only fit if you weld extra steel to the back of the frame so you can move the wheel back far enough to tighten it.  BTW, the 135 tooth belt is MUCH cheaper...

I recently found a split in my belt.. I remember there being quite an uproar back there not long after I got the bike, my drive is a rock covered thing, one got on the belt & pinched on a pulley, bummer. Seems to be hanging in there well,, that was at least 8,000 miles ago.

yep, debby's roadking is belt driven, and pushed a rock through it, broke 1/4 mile from the house. we live on a gravel/dirt road and our drive way is crushed gravel/dirt. we haven't had a problem with the suzi belt, but i would suspect it is just a matter of time.

Mind passing on where you found a 135 tooth belt available?

I haven't done a search for about 6 months, and can't find nearly what I could then.  My #1 recommendation is to go to a Bando Belt distributor and check pricing.  Ask to see a catalogue.

Another option is to go here and request a quote on a 133-tooth and 135-tooth Bando Poly-chain drive belt...

http://www.daltonbearing.com/Belt-Drives/Synchronous-Belts/Poly-Chain-Belt.asp

Again, like I said I haven't sniffed around for a belt in a little while so your actual results may vary.  Grin

Thanks, but I'd already Google'd up that site and have been cruising it for possibilities...
