The couple I've messed with are 4 wire - the 2 functional wires go to the spade connectors on the coil - and 1 is a ground wire - goes real nice under the horn mount - the fourth wire is the power wire for the internal light - so depending on when you want the tach light on - you can just piggyback this onto the bat(+) of the coil and it lights with the ign switch on - or hook it to the lights and it comes on with those, so it can help run you battery down if you turn the key to parking lights on

At the end of 3,000 miles I can see how many hours it took to make the 3,000 miles & get an average speed. I think I can make a bracket for it. I dont see me gluing it to the bike.
