Get a can of Berrymans carb cleaner & take it apart again & squirt that stuff thru all the passageways. If it has a hole, squirt in it. WEAR EYE protection, work in well ventilated location. Need I say NO Smoking?
Others may have more to offer, but if goo melted & went thru the carb, it had to get in all the orifices. Just soaking in cleaner may not get it all.
