First trip with cam & Superbrace,,

Went Fine, I also put the 155 main in it last night after I let it idle a while. I didnt get a fan to put in front of it & just ran it & let it sit & ran it some more aftre it cooled abit, till I had over 15 minutes on it. The Superbrace is Niiice & having the added Grunt brings it thru corners in a fun way. I didnt feel like getting all crazy today, just one of those days when the "spark" isnt there, BUt,even without the spark, there is a tuff little uphill right hand sweeper that I have never made over 60 out of & today, with the handling being so much better( rough road) & the grunt added, it came out at 64. If I felt sharper, that might have been better. MPG looks to be 42ish, kinda sorta, I will check again & update if needed. I will check valves tomorrow, they were quiet as a watch when I left & now I have a good tick or two.I dont fully "get" that. Hope that's normal for new cams.

Congrats on the new cam.
When you run in the cam, you will have to reset the valve clearance after the first 300 miles or so.

Justin_o_guy, I know what you mean about the Superbrace. I just put one on my 06 S40, and it is like riding a different bike. Here in South Mississippi, we have a lot of bridges with the dreaded metal grating, and it got rid of about 75% of the wobble going over them. Also on the highway, the little bike laughs at the turbulance caused by the 18 wheelers...rock solid.

Lived in Biloxi for 9 months in 73/74, back then,, Yea, I remember, Fiine roads down there. Ohh, & good drivers, too. YOU ride safe,, Unless things have changed, you are in danger standing too close to the road out in your front yard.

...Guy you would not recognize Biloxi, between the casinos, the little bit that is left from Katrina, Hwy 90 is anywhere from 4 lane to 6 lane in most places, etc. I have been here since 85, so I remember it prety much the way you do. Very little the same. Small world isn't it.
