Ride for 2007
04/02/07 at 10:23:58

Finally my ride for this season is finished and shaken down.
All systemsworking during a short trip with the local riders club "Motorvereniging Woubrugge" in dutch.
Have installed the spare engine with the "Extended life camchain" modification. Coated the inside of the tank because of the welded-close of the speedometer hole. Fitted the bulletstyle headlight.

Pictures:

Will list the alterations/mods/additions in the next post

That is one SWEET lookin' Thumper. I really dig the head light, who makes it? I also like the way it all flows together. Good job, enjoy your ride.

Thanks all. It just went together when I had the parts in hand.
This is what I modded/replaced/changed in ( more or less) detail, starting at the front end.
Replaced the brakedisk ( New from E-bay)
Magnet for bicle comp. stuck to the brakedisk.
Pick-up for same on the bottom of the caliper
Bullet style headlight from E-bay
Commagination headlight modulator
Polished lower triple tree
Superbrace
Intruder risers and custom steeringbar
soft and chrome grips
Bulls-eye blinkers on steering bar ends
Byron custom RPM indicator
Blinker wires removed from headlight
Indicatorlights ( blinkers, neutral and highbeam) in upper triple tree.
Speedometer "hole" welded shut and tank coated and resprayed.
Wilhelm Seeger forward controls + selfmade SS rod in between, the toolbag holds my roadtools and the chrome toolcover holds my brakedisk lock.
Carb cleaned 155 main and 2/3 spacer
Iridium plug
Plug "door"
Electronic device to actuate the decompressor at shut-down.
HD sportster seat and repositioned regulator ( under seat).
Dyna muffler.
S40 fenderrails
Bulletstyle rear blinkers
LED taillight. Attachment holes of OEM taillight closed with Spencer 56-50 cases ( sawn-off and primers deactivated)

Things in the planning:
SS spokes in front and rearwheels ( have the inners already polished) and Metzler ME 880 tyres
