Springer forks

Has anyone ever put springer forks on the Savage?

I ask this because even though most of you are chopping or bobbing your Savages, I want to go for the Big Bike look. Particularly a mini version of the '48 Indian Chief. I figure custom fenders and springer forks would do that for me.

I will undoubtedly have to have a custum tank as well.

So what do yall think on that idea?

not to be rude to all savage riders, But if you want to something like that it is best to start with something american. The reason is Im not sure if you could get bearings for the steering tube or not.  Good Luck Non the less.

I'd love to have a springer on Mr. Hyde, that's for sure.

I know they're available for the VLX (both the forks and Indian style fenders).

I think it would be pretty cool, personally.  Good luck to you, and if you figure out working springers, let me know!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, used-up, worn out, and defiantly shouting 'Geronimo!!!'

There are no springers for a VLX that I've seen. There is a Japanese Honda model, the Steed, that has a springer on it stock, but getting one from Japan would be nearly impossible.

I've seen people retrofit Harley springers onto CB750s by turning down the fork stem. That would be the way to go on the Savage if it is even possible. I like the looks of a springer too.
