I'd sure think 152.5 mainjet would do you right - are they also going to pull the brass plug and richen up the idle mixture(needs to be out about 1 3/4 <> 2 turns)? and of course the white spacer is a little think on the needle jet - needs to be sanded down to half it's thinkness or your liable to have 12ga shotgun type backfires

Oh my.....my head is swimming with all this great advice.  I do have a friend who has worked on his bike but he seemed a bit nervous when it came to setting the carb.

I would like to be able to do things to the bike myself, I guess I'm just afraid I'll mess it up.  But I suppose one has to learn new things sometimes.

My friend and I are going to put a Jardine (made for the S40) slip on muffler on the bike this weekend.

I have these recommendations from guys here on this site for my 2006 S40 once the muffler has been changed.  What do you thing?

Idle mixture screw turned out 1/34 - 2
Remove 1/2 white spacer
Pray and hope for the best afterwards
Thing of the new bike you want when this one gets messed up beyond repair.

get the phone book.  Find a small independent shop, but not an HD specific shop.  Got to the liquor store.  Get a 6 or a 12 pack of some beer.  Not fancy beer.  Should fit in saddle bags, no problem.  If the guys at the shop are all young, leave and find another.  When you find a shop full of old timers who don't give you crap for having a "Jap bike,"  get them to do the work, and give them the beer as a trade to teach you how to do it.  You will sitll have to apy the regular hourly rate...

I am not kidding.  This will likely work.
