Tried the mirror thing, pretty hard to see. Light has to be just right, forget it at night.
Blocking up the kick stand seems to work best for me.
Block up kick stand to point where any more will tip it over. Then you can steady the bike with one hand (in case of a breeze, earthquake, etc.) bend over and check.
So easy, even an old guy can do it!!!
Are you guys trying to say that an old guy with 2 bad disks can get on the floor, pull the bike upright by the handlebar, and check the level, but no one else can ???
If you're really worried put it in gear, so it won't roll. I check the oil level from the same position that I fill it. Sitting on my butt. Much easier that way
