Bhp Question
03/05/07 at 09:06:29
Hi Everyone
I'm new to the site, and have just bought a Suzuki Savage LS650 Chop. It's a 1994 L reg.
I've got my bike test in April, and have to take it on my 125 so will be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years.
Can anyone tell me what the bhp of my bike is?
It's had no engine modifications at all, just the forks, seat and rear mudguard have been changed.
No one seems to know exactly, and I'm kinda hoping that I don't need to fit a restrictor kit as it's perfect the way it is ...
Thanks
Suffie

If I remember correctly, a '94 is 31 horses at 5400 RPM.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, used-up, worn out, and defiantly shouting 'Geronimo!!!'

Fankoo for the welcome!
Test is at beginning of April, so fingers crossed ...
While I'm waiting for the day I can ride my L'il Savage I'm giving her a respray and making a few other small changes.
Hopefully she'll be all ready for when I get that bit of paper!

It is not necessary to count your horses or even know how many you have to enjoy the ride.
If it feels good and does what you want to do, then there are enough of them.

unfortunatly in the uk when you pass your test, you are restricted to 33bhp for 2 years, so you do have to count them or risk losing it, but I like what you say

Don't think you can lie about the HP but you can lie about rejetting the carb.
