Leather legs look pretty good to me. Better stone protection than my gaiters.

I think there's a pretty good chance.  They are pretty sturdy.  I just pulled mine out from under my desk (used 'em this morning) and they look to be about 1/8" thick.  I'd be seriously impressed with a snake that could get through these and my Red Wings together.

Grin

You think that's rough?  If you think about the details involved, my spouse doesn't like to drink too much while wearing hers.  Rest stops become even more complex Tongue

I recently got a pair for my birthday but I haven't worn 'em yet.  Overall, they seem to be a fairly nice set: lined, heavyweight naked leather cowhide (not buffalo), heavy-duty stainless YKK zippers.  I still need to Nikwax 'em before I use 'em.

Paladin,
Yes they cover the boot as well as the leg, I had to sew the toe a little shorter( small feet) Grin. no problem with the heat, so far. but if in rain gear or these , i try to keep them out a bit.
