Well, time to throw away my cateye tailight. I bought one a year ago, installed it, and now everyone is going that route...

Mine is tucked under the fender though...

Helps that I'm running a Rebel rear fender, more space to hide the light. It will hit the trash too. Going with a full coverage 1930s type instead. Should be on shortly.

Cateye is only fractionally smaller than the stock light for surface area. Run it if you like it.

For safety you might consider turning the turn signals into stop/run lights to give you redundency.

That's next on the to-do list x 2: 1 set for the S40 and 1 set for my C50T.

I'm also thinking about the tailBlazer and wondering if I should get just the 20WS integrated bulb unit only or the 100HD unit that mounts under the seat and wire the turn signal stop/tail LEDs to it as well...

Lots of work. FXR/FXD, FL, EL and VL parts. Once it all fits I'll post it up. Basicall an FL one piece fender, FXD struts, beehive tailight and misc bits of old hardware adapted to fit.

Remember, I'm the sicko that put Norton fork gaiters and T-140 peg rubber on a Savage...with 15" rise apehangers.
