sorry lancer haven't a clue,
have no info on motor at all, do know 650 camchain + clutch fits it ok, Engine was in bits when i got it as previous owner thought he had droped a nut down plug hole, all the rusty bits were pearl blasted including cylinder and just put it back together with the above mentioned new parts it run & sounds ok has about 2 hrs running time on it moment but will increase this over next few weeks, see if any probs occur, its proper motor is in the boys bike (yellow one) which will go back in eventually.

and john def no bobbing sorry but don't like that style.

Ive seen a savage in a photo on here (viv) like the style of that, we shall see but open to idea's

allan.

Does that mean that the 650 and 400 have the same piston?

Savage = 94 x 94

I think someone has done it before but I love the FLH rear fender and the way it drops down over the rear wheel.  I think all u are gonna need is either some highway pegs or forward controls.

ps looks great already. nice color.

I suppose you COULD go all the way with some Indian style fenders...

I suppose you could get crazy with it and see if you could turn it into a scrambler of some sort?  Not entirely sure how'd you go about that process, but it would certainly be a different sort of Savage.
