after riding for several hours yesterday with the temp around 35 and while wearing heavy gloves, I noticed my wrist was ver sore, very similar to arm pump but only in my wrist. i also so the things you can install on your throttle so you use your wrist. anyone with similar problems and what fixed it?   thanks john

John - if you are envisioning some way to relax your grip on the throttle (could not quite follow what you wanted) might want to check out the plastic dohickey that just simplys fits on grip & allows you to rest your plam on it to ease you gripping throttle. still have to keep that hand (resting) on the grip but like I says gets rid of possibility of cramp.

note, like most throttle controls I would not recommend such for twisties or where you might be in heavy/any traffic but I found mine ideal for interstaet & such riding.

cant recall exact name but know JCWhitney sells them & likely White Horse (might then get name & do a google on them (or maybe someone reading this knows the name?)

john - never tried it on the Savage, just on my other bike but it a pretty inexpensive way to set up a rudimentary throttle control allowing the grip to shut down immediately you take your palm off the thing/throttle.

your local harley shop will have them. $6 for the smaller rubber one, $12 for the larger plastic/felcro type. we have the the rubber type on my HD and the suzuki, the larger type i put on debby's HD yesterday.

Got wrist pain?  Need to scratch an itch?  Got a bug in your eye?  Need to re-arrange some parts?

Any reason that you have for removing your right hand from the bar is best solved by one little gadget.  The Vista Cruise or Vista Cruise universal...available everywhere

Plain and simple.  Skip the "Throttle Rocker" types.  You still have to keep your hand on the grip.  Instead, get something that lets you use your hand like you're driving the wife's minivan...

Just go to the dealer, spend $20 or so, and ride like you know somethin'...

Make sure that you get one for 1" bars, too.

I get similar problems, but it's from carpal tunnel like nerve damage. The kuryakyn iso grips help a lot with the vibrations, and they're easier to grab than the stock grips. Also, I find that gloves with a serious gel palm pad, help a bit. The double leather palm padding just doesn't cut it for getting rid of vibrations. Also, make sure your hands are resting in a neutral position on the handlebars/levers. If you have to bend your wrists back to squeeze the clutch or brake, it's going to put as much strain your wrists as if you were typing in a bad position.

Just a couple suggestions.
