Handlebar Input Wanted

Ok, so I don't think I'll be putting the 15" apes back on Mr. Hyde after all.  I think I'd like something slightly less inconspicuous.  Something a little less obviously not legal (for example, 12" apes wouldn't technically be legal, but wouldn't bother me).

So basically, I'm trying to make up my mind.  Do I get a set of 12" apes?  9-12"Z-bars?  Or maybe put 4" dogbone risers on the stock buckhorns?

So for those of you older than I am (the majority of y'all), which would you recommend to keep the basic theme/style of the bike consistant?  Thanks for the help?

8)Personally, I think that the 12" Apes on the stock risers or a decent set of "Z" bars would look great on your scoot ... the stock bucks on higher risers look kinda goofy IMHO ...

i think 10 inch z bars would look pretty killer on the bike or maybe try 4 inch z's with the dogbones for something a little off the wall. just my opinion. Good luck with the bars.

Looks like you already have the cables for the 12" ape-hangers.

Yup.  The cables came from Lancer for the 15" apes I had on it.  They're probably long enough for a set of 18" apes if I wanted.

The one thing yoveru have to watch with Z bars is the pullback. I got a set of Z's from Paughco and they all have 12 and1/2" pullback. Very uncomfortable for the wrist. I sent them back. I don't know if LA Choppers have any higher Z"s than the ones Five_Points put on his bike or not. The rise on his is not that big but would look good on say 6 or 8" risers, if they are not available with a higher rise. I am in the process of putting a set of 12" apes on L-Vira. They have a 7 1/2" pullback and are\]2w`

Sorry about that, the cat is now cooling off outside. As I was saying they are 31" wide and mounted on short risers. Got them from JP Cycles for $50. Narrow glide apes,#5000840. They are just below my shoulder. I'm 5'10.
