Have never seen him here. The bike is/was either a 97 or a 99. He tore it down at 102K figuring it needed a camchain and a valve job, did not need either... -WD

Reply #17 - 01/02/07 at 14:51:34 This certainly puts my mind at ease, my Savage has over 12000 miles on it and was getting a little nervous. Those miles were put on it by previous owner/owners (don't know how many as I bought it from a pawn shop) But as stated repeatedly, proper maintenance should extend the life considerably.
