Need Pics of Rear brake pedal assembly

Need Pics of Rear brake pedal assembly with brakelight switch cable. Does anyone have an exploded view of it so I can see just how the switch cable is supposed to attach to the brake pedal?

I have done a search but didn't get any results.

The stealership didn't have a clue what I was talking about, but then they also said that a stock Savage/S40 doesn't backfire a lot.

This is showing the bottom of my forward controls but the hook up was the same on the stock setup.

Hope it helps!

Thanks Steel, that's EXACTLY what I needed. My brake switch cable had come apart from the L fitting, any idea how to reattach it? I'm thinking of using a small circle clip or something that will do the same job.

If memory serves, that little "L" is pressed on to the brake cable. That being the case maybe you could drill a small hole through the end of the cable and use a cotter pin. The circlip may work as well but without a groove for it to rest in it may not stay. Maybe you can find one of those little push on washers that will only push onto the cable end but not come off. Kinda like Chinese finger cuffs. I can't remember what they are called.

That's what I was thinking. Use my dremel and a grinding bit (very very carefully) and cut a small groove for the circle clip.

Just in case you are from another country a cotter pin translates in English to a "Split pin"

A cotter pin translates to "split pin" in English (european) english! Grin

We here in the States speak english too [glow=red,2,300]supposedly [/glow]. Grin

Thanks for clearing that up though Mick. I forget sometimes that just because we speak the same language on both sides of the pond that words like "Randy", "Shag", and "Bloody" don't mean the same thing. Also too that things go by different names here. Thank goodness there are people like you who have lived in both places to straighten the rest of us out.
