New Savage!

Hey all,

Bought Vroomette a savage this weekend!  Now she needs to learn to ride.  I'll be giving her some basic instructions, then it's off to the MSF course!

1998, 11.5k miles.  Very good shape.  Quiet!  (she says it's too quiet...  I missed those nasty backfires!)

Looks like it was dropped once, while not moving.   Very minor scratches in the clear coat.

Black, as you can see, but there are some sparklies in the paint.  Very nice.

yeah, it rides & handles nothing like savage #1!  I think I am going to change the handle bars for her right away.   The drags I'm running on #1 are very wide and allow for very easy manuvering, as compared to the narrow but comfy buckhorns.

It's essentially for her... so we'll see.  I hope so.  I already want to rip off the clutch interlock, muffler, stock intake, belt guard, heat shiled, horn, reflectors, blinkers... blah blah blah.  But it's her 1st bike... prolly gonna modify my old stock seat to be more comfy and mount that... for starters.

She likes the paint.  There's some metal flake in it that sparkles in the sun.

Yeah, that's the way mine was at stock.  I roughed it up and sprayed it with truck bed liner.  Don't get me wrong, I think the deep blue metal flake is nice looking... I just like the durability of the bed liner and I've always liked the flat black look too.  It's kinda nice that if I happen to drip a little fuel on it, it has no effect.  I like that.
