Winter Project
11/14/06 at 22:47:55

I will be making some substantial changes to my Savage this winter.
The entire front fork/wheel assembly will be replace.
The rear wheel and possibly the R fender will be replaced.
The seat and tank will be replaced.

Anyone who may be needing any of these parts for your own projects contact me about your needs.

I will be posting the individual parts in the MARKET PLACE as they come off the bike  and become available.

Looking forward to hearing details (and seeing pics) of your progress!
What kinda front end ya goin' for? I've always wondered what a VZ800 Marauder front end would look like on a Savage ...

I posted a couple of pic's a while back, I will try to find them.  The forks are a set of 40mm Ceriani's, with an 11.5" Harley disc on a Sportster mag wheel with a differential bore 2 piston Nissin caliper from ?? sportbike.

Ya know, I just thought the other day to ask about a wheel that would take a tubless tire but thought, "no, if it's not already on this site it may not be possible."  Way to go lancer!  Let us know how it turns out, I may be close behind you!

The only thing missing for the front end are spacers for the axle, which will be very small indeed, and a bracket for the brake caliper.  Ah, and a new set of bolts for the disc and steering head bearings.
