Ah, according to the Belt removal thread you just sticks your leg out.  So, comfort's not a priority then.

Cool looking bike, nice work.I went w a solo seat also, but not hardtailed.I lopped off the frame horns and made brackets to mount hairpin springs, then mounted a chopped harley fender to the singarm.I'm about half way done and I havent had the time to finish it

I was wondering if the filters and such would be in the way of your knee as well.  I know in my case, being a short person, I sit closer to the front of the bike, and often have my knees hugging the gas tank, so that would be an issue for me.

Yet, "whatever floats your boat" as they say.  Being able to customize these bikes is great!!!!  My bike is still faily stock looking, but I'm a newby and am just thrilled to be riding a bike, and loving it.  I do love to watch "Amercian Chopper" on tv though - it's amazing what ideas they come up with.

How did you deal with all the electrics?  I recently chopped/bobbed/moded my bike with a trailer fender, airbox removal, spring seat, etc.  I found the hardest thing was re-locating the electrics.  Any close-up pics of the carb and electrics?

Hey I just noticed - is that a fuel level tube on the side of the tank?  I had drawn up sketches to do that, but never had the guts to drill into my tank...

THAT is very cool!
