There has been some discussion about the clutch springs on our bike, comparing the stock springs to others available from other sources ... ie Barnett and Sudco.  This is a pic of a stock spring and one from Sudco.  I had a set from Barnett but someone needed them so they are not in this pic.  I will get another set from Barnett and compare all three later.
As you can see there is a significant difference between the two, and there is a significant difference in the way the clutch lever feels with the aftermarket set installed ...  very significant.

Yes I agree longer springs with more preload give a better feel even if they are std. rate or slightly softer.

don't need them now, but for down the road is there a particular source you'd suggest for these springs, Lancer, please?

I get springs from both Sudco and Barnett, both are good.
