Mick's opening this posting up for gags, but I won't fall in!

I use Bug-Off (gets off bugs as well, obviously, though I find hot - but not too hot - car washing solution & mitt takes care of those well enough).

main thing as I'm sure you & everyone reading this site knows - don't use a high pressure wash on the bike - plays havoc with wheel bearings etc.

Easy-Off oven cleaner is supposed to work well.  I haven't tried it yet myself.

You can buy bug and tar remover from the auto parts. It's a mild solvent and definately won't hurt your chrome. Use a clean cotton cloth and change it out often.

I use those 100% stainless steel sponges from 3M that you use for scrubbing pots & pans. (NOT the green ones).

I always end up melting something on my exhaust pipe. What you do is heat pipe a bit (turn engine on Grin) and then rub GENTLY with water, and use a towel so you donīt burn yourself with steam. Then use the towel to "polish" the pipe and see if everything is gone.

I didnīt like easy-off because itīs too toxic and you end up sniffing it regardless.

In case of "regular" chrome I use that "magic" (liquid or paste) silver polish from walmart. Rub on gently. Rinse well.

Good luck.
