Steering Wheel Lock
09/17/06 at 17:02:07
Hello,
I am new to this forum, I just purchased a 2005 S40 and
am having problems locking the steering wheel, I am following all instructions to the letter (turning key counterclockwise and pressing in and returning back to original position) but the key doesnt stay pressed in and the wheel wont lock. Wondering if others have experienced this.
Thanks
Rich

Ditto as Trippa. I have the same problem when I first brought her home. Jiggle the handle bar back and forth a little bit to get that lock stay locked.

Me too, I was convinced it wouldn't work, but my more knowledgeable other half told me to wiggle handlebars a little, as I locked / unlocked it.
Works every time now, use it every day.

I noticed that too. You just need to give'er a little tug when you lock or unlock it and it works like a charm.

I just think it's way cool that someone put a steering wheel on their bike. I'd love to see photos of it.
