Hello all!

I have been a lurker here since my gf purchased a 2006 S40 and have learned a lot of information about her bike.  Most questions I have been able to answer using your search function.  Currently I am looking for saddlebags for her steed.

My question is has anybody tried the small K-Drive throw-over bags?  I would like to see how they fit the S40.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i have an 06 also..im not familiar with K-Drive bags,
i had the stock oem  bags, too small and ended up tearing at the hinge point, dealer credited me  and  i bought a pair of River Road slant bags  about 12x8x9
they fit fine and have enough room..i've since hard  mounted them by form fitting a piece of plywood for the inside and used 3/8"couduit straps to mount them to oem saddlebag supports which should be used with any bag , tho some dont...

I bought a 7 piece set off ebay.  Just like these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/7-PC-LEATHER-MOTORCYCLE-LUGGAGE-SADDLE-BAG-SET...

Fits good and quality is good for the price.  Bags can thow over or mount under seat.  The 2 bags lace together at the top and is adjustable.  Has 5 tie down strings for the saddlebags.  The other bags in the set are nice also.  Saddlebags are just the right size for the savage, but that's not very big.  The other bags give you the space you need for traveling.

Check the price and shipping for the best price.  I paid $65 total with shipping.

I bought some leather bags off ebay for $10.  That was 5 years ago and have never had a problem. IMHO, the more you haul, the less fun you have.

Not a better bag made for the price, IMHO.

Another vote for the Willie and max.  I have them and thought that the "Boulevard" bags at the stealership were not as nice.
