Gas in left hand crankcase!!

Couple of weeks ago my 87 Savage flooded, the carb jammed and gas poured into the engine and out of the breather pipe etc.
Sent the carb away for a rebuild, drained the oil and replaced filter. Carb is now refitted and bike is runnining well.
Yesterday I was about to adjust valves, removed the timing inspection cover and approx 1.5 litres of gas poured out of casing??
Should I drain oil again, what do you think?

Drain the oil again is a good suggestion.
Wiggling the bike left to right might be usefull to get the remaining gas out.
Also the the fuelc0ck for proper operation.
On "RE'" and "ON" no fuel flow with engine off. On position "PRI" fuel flow regardles.
